Students of class 3rd 4th and fifth had an educational field trip to Sanchi Milk Plant & were delighted and amazed to see how milk is collected and processed. They understood the process of pasteurization to increase the shelf life of milk. They came to know about various processes like refrigeration, extraction of cream and butter, making of ghee and sweets, separating milk powder from milk, printing and packaging etc. They were also told the importance of consuming dairy products. The trip ended with with delicious chocolate milk distribution by the Sanchi authorities. The happy faces came back with the taste of chocolate milk lingering in their mouths and knowledge of dairy processing in the minds.
